Your edit to Julian day[edit]

I removed your edit to Julian day. First, you claimed a validity date for a published algorithm from a reliable source, but did not cite a reliable source to support your claim. This is contrary to Wikipedia's Verifiability policy.

Second, the transition date you stated does not correspond to the transition date from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar in any country that I'm aware of.

Finally, it is wrong to just state a single transition date. The Gregorian calendar was adopted on different dates in different country. Also, those who work with dates often want to extend the Gregorian calendar to dates before it was created, or to extend the Julian calendar to the present (or even the future).
