Speedy deletion nomination of Bob Biswas (movie)

Hello, Fylindfotberserk,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Xx236, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged Bob Biswas (movie) for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative. Also, you may want to consider working on future articles in draft space first, where they cannot be deleted for lacking content.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Xx236}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Shobana Wikipedia profile

Hello Fylindfotberser,

This is regarding artist Shobana's wikipedia profile. I'm a consultant of her institution and we are in the process of sorting out all the issues related to her social media accounts and wikipedia profile. You mentioned me as an anonymous user who is doing some sort of vandalism. I'm not. We are not. Whatever changes made in the profile is with the consent from the artist. We do not want this matter to be discussed on a public forum and getting unnecessary attention from a lot of people. This is something that is strictly personal for the artist. If the concerned artist do not want to put some information pertaining her in public, then why do you people insist us to go with a public opinion or so. This seems to be really disrespectful. We feel this is something that needs to be taken care of with the help of cyber police or concerned authority. We shall take it up in that way if nothing can be done to rectify this from your or my side. Also, we do not have much expertise in Wiki editing and all..... We wish to do the same correction again on page. If it's again getting rolled back, then will see for further options stated above. Thanks for your understanding.

Regards, Ratz — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ratz wiki (talkcontribs) 19:29, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

@Ratz wiki: Kindly raise your concerns in the Talk:Sobhana. The information is already in the public platform in the form of news articles, that are used as sources. Just to let you know, Wikipedia do not censor things already available in the public domain. You have to discuss this in the talk page, wait for others to chime in and then seek a consensus. If teh consensus is in support of removing, it will be removed. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:35, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Sir, kindly check the above comments by a user claiming to be the subject's consultant. I asked them to raise the concern in teh talk page and gain consensus, but they seem to be threatening me. Please see the above users attempts at removing content which are already in the public domain (news articles) link. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:45, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi

Thought you quit Wikipedia, it was such a long gap. Greetings Zoglophie (talk) 14:32, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

@Zoglophie: Actually I was unwell for a long time. When I got better, I was avoiding Wikipedia since editing caused that. How are you? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:32, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

Very well, good to see you are too now. Happy editing :) Zoglophie (talk) 15:43, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

MN Roy

CPI was formed in 1925 December 26 at Kanpur. MN. Roy didn't participate in the foundation conference . So remove him from the names of founders. Shaheed Hemukalani (talk) 09:49, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

So this whole issue is best settled by developing the passage on the 1920-1925 history in the article. The notion that CPI was founded Dec 1925 in Kanpur is one perspective, but hardly the only perspective. Roy is often credited as being a founder of CPI, whether he was present or not in Kanpur is not the main issue. Arguably Roy did much of the ground-work gathering different groups of Indian revolutionaries together in what was to become the CPI. --Soman (talk) 12:52, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@Soman: I've to agree with you, besides Roy's name as the founder is present in the article body supported by sources. So it stays IMO as per status qvo. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:57, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

The name mentioned in the founders are who participated in the Kanpur foundation conference MN Roy didn't participate in that conference and he return to india after 1925. And the secretrate of CPI held in 1959 decided that the formation of CPI is Kanpur. Then the party MN Roy formed in Tashkent is only a group like the communist groups in india before 1925 ,formation of CPI. Shaheed Hemukalani (talk) 18:10, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

Why are you discussing it in my talk page. Teh names are literally there in the article body for a long time with sources. Discuss there in the article talk page and gain consensus first. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:13, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

reversion on Narendra Modi

Apologies for incorrect reversion. Editing from mobile is difficult sometimes. I reverted my reversion. - hako9 (talk) 22:25, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

Austronesier (talk) 17:19, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

@Austronesier: Thanks man. How'z life going? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:21, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
All's great thank you. But I'm quite busy with off-wiki writing, so I mostly do just some patrolling here these days. Hope you've been fine the last 4 months. –Austronesier (talk) 08:47, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@Austronesier: Nice to know man. I was not well actually. On 13th April, wasn't feeling well (made 3-4 edits). That night I had a severe headache. Next morning, my vision was all blurry. I stopped using my PC for the next 10-12 days as suggested by the doctor. After that I kinda avoided Wikipedia since editing might have caused this. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:13, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
I hope you can find the right balance. Your absence was literally noticeable with the decrease of patrol level for so many pages; but the great job you're doing should never push you beyond the physical stress-level. 500+ edits in two days is a rocket start... –Austronesier (talk) 09:31, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@Austronesier: You are right. I got carried away with 7700+ pages in my watchlist. Or the problem may had been with checking each and every every edit when many of the articles were in good hands, like yours. I wonder if I can be that much vigilant now since I've to work a lot more IRL thanks to COVID (no helpers around), plus recently had flu like symptoms, been in a self isolation for the past 12 days (possibly it is nothing). - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:52, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Hey, one more reason to take it slow. Take good care of yourself—which is the conditio sine qua non for taking good care of all the things/projects that are important for you. –Austronesier (talk) 10:22, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@Austronesier: You are absolutely correct sir. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:32, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

I was happy to see your name again as I scrolled through my watchlist this morning; I see I'm not the only one Wham2001 (talk) 08:03, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

@Wham2001: Thanks man. I'm really honored. How are you? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:33, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm well, thanks; the pandemic means I'm busier with work, but otherwise everything is pretty good. I hope you're feeling better again. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 09:09, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
@Wham2001: Yeah, lot better. But one question. Is Wikipedia slow in your side? I mean loading time, publishing of changes, etc? I'm having great difficulty doing it in Chrome. I'm still two days behind. Any suggestions. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:18, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Hmm. I get that sort or behavior occasionally; a page will take many seconds to load, and sometimes I've had changes that refused to save. But right now it seems to be OK. Possibly edits from different parts of the world hit different servers and so it's a localized issue? I guess I would ask on WP:VPT. Cheers, Wham2001 (talk) 09:24, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Birth date + age of Gurmehar Kaur

According to Famous Birthdays, her birth date is 24 September 1996 (age: 23).

I don't know how to edit infobox. Help! 😭 Honeybrowneyes (talk) 13:38, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

@Honeybrowneyes: , Famous Birthdays and similar websites like StarUnfolded, CelebsWiki, etc are not considered reliable as per WP:RSN. Find reliable sources like IndianExpress, Tribune, Times of India, The Hindu, etc that mention her DoB explicitly. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:42, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

She said she turned 23 in 2019 on her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/B21Sa3HgqJ2/?igshid=qilh20c3658c). Would that be considered reliable? 🥺 Honeybrowneyes (talk) 16:02, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

@Honeybrowneyes: I've updated it as per your link. Also added twitter link, that was necessary for her exact birth date, since instagram looked like an after party on 25th Sept. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:22, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Losing battle

Hey there, re: this, it may be a losing battle. I personally prefer crore, but I'm lazy and don't want to do the mental calculation of converting to millions or billions. That said, it might be difficult to establish a consensus that conflicts with MOS:COMMONALITY. But by all means try if you wish! Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:59, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Yeah, it is getting boring. But, unless a user is specifically interested in this, cites commonality or talks about it in the talk page, I'm not letting it change just because of some "General formatting script". I also use that script, but not in film articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:48, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

@Heba Aisha: You can put an WP:SPI on him. I think, considering his edits, is a sock of another master. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:40, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Yupp...but he's bloked again thanks to admin & u too.....yr i never had idea that nowadays also people take caste so seriously😯Heba Aisha (talk) 10:44, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

@Heba Aisha: That's because South Asians are backward. "Casteism" existed in throughout the world, but others were able to let go of it. Now we have classism, that also exists in India, more than casteism in urban regions. Even after converting to religions like Islam and Christianity which denounce casteism, people can't let of of their caste identity. Even Sikhs have major casteist problems. On a genetic level, higher and lower castes are not much different. All derive from same admixture components, with some differences in values, but higher castes and some specific castes need to behave as if they are from central Asia and lower castes behave as if they are some aboriginal people. Truth is the major part of the DNA of all South Asian castes is derived from ancient Indus Valley people. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:01, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

BOHEMIA PAGE [CHANGED EXTERNAL LINKS]

Hey, Why You Remove External Links From BOHEMIA rapper Wiki Page, This is not Good, Plz Never Do That Again..! I'm a Huge fan Of Bohemia So I know Well What I do or not. HipHopAkshay (talk) 05:18, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @HipHopAkshay: please see the guideline, WP:ELMIN, that Fylindfotberserk referred to in his edit summary. You can find it here. In general Wikipedia practice is to minimize the number of external links that an article has. The social media accounts that you are linking to are prominently linked from the top of the official website; hence we don't need to include them in the article. If you think that there should be an exception to the general practice for this particular article please go to Talk:Bohemia (rapper) and argue for it there. Best wishes, Wham2001 (talk) 06:27, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
@Wham2001: Couldn't have explained it better. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:38, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

@Austronesier: BANREVERTED. Thanks for that SPI. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:35, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
@Austronesier: You're wasting your time to do wrong thing. Aren't you a big lier. Are you good human being. @Fylindfotberserk: You seems to good human being. Don't fall in trap of false notion. You're revert is unacceptable. Nobody was sock.47.29.161.88 (talk) 13:04, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
Even if your edits are genuine, you are banned, so discuss in the talk page instead of edit warring. And don't call people names. As a human being, I'm good for Wikipedia since I follow rules, which you aren't doing. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:08, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Yes I'm banned. So I can't create any account and I'm using IP. That wasn't added by me. That's genuine and well known thing in Boro community. I just reverted Chaipau's unnecessary edit because he try to WP:OWN the pages. I wasn't experienced, Now I've learnt the policies. I can't create and keep any account otherwise I might have got many previllege. That Ramsa thing is related to 5th century's Raghuvamsa. According to Raghuvamsa, Raghu conquered Kamarupa or Lauhitya. That's how Ramsa claim is connected to Boro people. 47.29.161.88 (talk) 13:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Please revert only one specific edit, not unrelated ones.

  • "This type citation arrangement is not recommended" : Is there any documentation regarding this ?
  • ".. causes problems when editing" : Split line citation is much more readable while editing; And makes edit reviews easier since the whole paragraph needs not be scanned for potential changes.
  • Why were all four reverted when you can revert only one of them as an isolated undo ?

AdithyaKL (talk) 21:22, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

That's because, one revert was not possible, had to manually restore a previous version. "Split line citation is much more readable while editing" ← Is there any consensus for this? You have to unnecessarily scroll a lot, and it takes up unnecessary space. Not to mention, most of the articles use horizontal format which makes it the preferred type.
This is wrong since it is introducing Devanagri script in the lead, which contravenes our WP:NOINDICSCRIPT policy. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:25, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: "Is there any consensus for this?" Err.. no, I'm yet to find out how find out what the community agrees upon.
Also, Thanks for telling me about the use of Devanagiri in opening paragraphs AdithyaKL (talk) 11:10, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Golden Temple

Fylindfotberserk, I do not understand why you reverted on Golden Temple. What you have added back is unsourced and what you have taken out is sourced. Can you provide the source, page number and the quote that supports what you have reinstated ? JoyceGW1 (talk) 20:55, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

@JoyceGW1: Thanks for communicating. Since you made changes to the consensus version without discussion, I reverted it. As for the sources, I was unable to check the some of those involved because of technical issues. I opened a discussion there asking the parties involved that helped to reach to the consensus version. Kindly wait for them to weigh in and discuss it there. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:46, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
