Maybe it needs some more images? Skyerise (talk) 21:05, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

I added images, but feel free to replace if you find better. Skyerise (talk) 21:33, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

The lastest drama

Did you see this? Skyerise (talk) 22:32, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

Thanks, Skyerise. Sorry if I've gone quiet: am pre-occupied off-wiki at the moment. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 06:25, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
No problem... I figured as much. I spend years sometimes too busy to edit. BTW, I did finish Witch (archetype) and it was approved by AfC and moved into place. Skyerise (talk) 11:25, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Many thanks for your work on that article, Skyerise. And "snap" to your mention of tag-teaming at the AN. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 11:30, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Your work on poorly-sourced, self-published, and self-promoting material at Celtic reconstructionism has been grossly misrepresented at A/R/C. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 07:44, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
A lot of things have been grossly misrepresented. But then "Celtic Reconstructionist" is just a euphemism for "Former Irish Catholic", isn't it? Skyerise (talk) 17:05, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Big damn mess, ain't it? I have to remind myself, if the players aren't mentioning the elephant in the room, it's probably better not to bring it up. Simple solutions are usually wrong. Skyerise (talk) 19:19, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
Indeed! Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 19:25, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

The Matter with Things - A critical review

Hi, Thank you for creating the article about Iain McGilchrist's book The Matter with Things. I came across the following excellent critique of the book, which I'd like to suggest you consider adding to the "Criticism" section of the article:

The Matter with ‘The Matter with Things’ by Robert M. Ellis 2607:FEA8:99C0:F200:F15F:2FFA:4F18:CD2D (talk) 10:36, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the link: I'll read through the article. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 10:38, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
Wow, that's quite a read. Ellis certainly doesn't pull his punches. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 11:43, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
Great summary. Thanks for adding it! :) 2607:FEA8:99C0:F200:F9A5:C7CD:2946:7DBE (talk) 01:46, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
I added a comment to Ellis's review mentioning that you have included it in the Wikipedia article. He replied with thanks and added, "It would be nice to have a Wikipedia entry for Middle Way Philosophy itself: maybe one day." That would be a big undertaking, but based on your excellent summary of his critique, I think you would be a great person for the job! 😊 2607:FEA8:99C0:F200:785F:F478:E12E:4DA (talk) 11:51, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
You're welcome: thank you. 06:15, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
The answer to that is that we would need a bare minimum of three independent, published, secondary reliable sources giving the subject significant coverage, in order to demonstrate notability. See the Golden Rule.
Sources could be newspapers, magazines, journals, others' books, audio podcasts, radio, and TV; but not the subject's own web site, personal blogs, publisher's blurb, or unpublished testimonials; etc. Interviews are useful, but they don't add to the notability of the subject.
Then you write the article to faithfully reflect what's found in those sources (not the other way round: writing what you know and want to say, then hunting around for references to back that up). And my advice would be: if you want something written in a future Wikipedia article, then feed those words to reporters and interviewers.
There are maybe three possibilities: an article on Robert M. Ellis (biographies of living people are held to higher standards), on the Middle Way Society, or on one or more of his published books.
Hope that helps. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 12:28, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
