Arguments On The Quiet Ones (2014 Film)[edit]

First of all, let me say my appreciation to the movie.

It's really a good movie nonetheless. It dazzled and amazed me at the same time.

Let's begin our conversation with the 'Philip Experiment', the experiment to create ghost and at the same time deny their existence. In this movie, the so-called College Professor Coupland wants to proove that ghost is just the manifestation of human negative mind, which is of course combine with the unexplore human mind capability. It is not strange that in the future, human could lift up and move things around him with just focusing their mind onto the object.

With this in mind, thus our College Professor Coupland started the experiment. There is only one thing that this Professor forgot and it is prooved to be a fatal mistake in the end of the movie. Though, it is really far away from the reality so-called experiment. Well, I can understand that the creator of the movie should make it a little bit interesting for the audience of the movie even if it distorted from the reality a little bit.

But I like the movie plot, though. That fatal mistake is another consideration or another possibility that there is another creature or being that come from another dimension or another world beyond our physical world and beyond our human science and technology to grasp it, at least for the time being.

The Professor just blindly believed in his argument that ghost are the manifestation of human negative mind without considering another possibility of its come from. This is truly a fatal mistake prooven in the end with the death of all crew member of the experiment except our protagonist whose traumatize by the accident and get insane in the end, unfortunately.

In the end, I'm just saying despite our best efforts to investigate the occurence of supranatural phenomenon. Our science and technology still developing and I don't think it will accept the explanation of the ghost chaser no matter how scientific it is in the near time in the future.

That's all, I'm saying. Thank you. 36.82.25.135 (talk) 17:16, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
