You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at David B. Pakman. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. ww2censor Are you serious? Look at this account's contribution and the name. This is clearly a violation of WP:COI and so is this account this page most likely as it lives in the same area as David Pakman and created the David Pakman page.

Thanks for uploading File:Dbpakman.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. The article The David Pakman Show has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The material was a blatant WP:COPYVIO before blanked by the copyvio template. Further, it seems the editor who has created / made signifiant edits is actually the host of the show. Unless an uninvolved editor thinks the show merits a page, and wishes to make one, I think it should just be deleted.

Images[edit]

You cannot use images that have been already published on the web. They will always be deleted ASAP. We have to ensure that free images are truly free. Any other web site will automatically default to "All Rights Reserved" - a license which is not suitable for Wikipedia. All users are effectively anonymous - there is no way for a user to identify himself within the pages here. In order to donate copyright of any image you own, you have to be prepared to identify yourself properly using the system at WP:DCM and to correctly donate the image(s).
