Schoenberg

Hi Deskford,

Thanks for reverting. Trying to change ref style on a phone is a tedious task. Kind regards, soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:15, 10 December 2016 (UTC) soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:15, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

Never tried it on a phone but I could imagine it's tricky. Best wishes! --Deskford (talk) 13:17, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

Closing assessment discussion

Perhaps, since you seem to have (sensibly) avoided it, you could look over and close Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Classical music#Re-introduce assessment? Thanks — Iadmctalk  18:23, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Not sure I'm neutral enough to perform the formal closure of the discussion, but I've offered some comments. --Deskford (talk) 16:17, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
OK. Thanks — Iadmctalk  20:27, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of bays of the British Isles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page North Haven. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Weinberg date of birth

Thank you for making the executive decision on Weinberg's date of birth, it would have been horrid if we had the parade on the wrong day. :-) We are all in this together, on the Wikipedia QC. Frank Lynch (talk) 00:20, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Josef Tal website

Dear Deskford, I wonder what is inappropriate in providing the website link. I noticed similar links in several pages. Thanks. Etan J. Tal(talk) 21:34, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

Hello, and thanks for your enthusiasm for including Josef Tal is various lists. As a general rule, there should only be internal links in most places within articles. External links are only appropriate in specific "external links" sections and in references. If in doubt, look at the style of other entries in the same list. If you have seen similar links on other pages you may wish to remove them. Best wishes, --Deskford (talk) 21:44, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your explanation (and deletions, alas...) Etan J. Tal(talk) 22:30, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
REverted most if not all other links I have added. Thank you again! Etan J. Tal(talk) 07:42, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
Thank you! --Deskford (talk) 11:26, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Kobi Arad WP:AFC

Deskford: three questions:

1. My name is Michael, Arad's manager, and therefore do not edit his articles. Is it ok if I ask an editor-frnd to edit the draft (I already before asked my frnd Peter Pattern)?

2. Does the following notability specifics seem fair as to be incorporated within the draft:

Subject meets notability in following sections:

WP:GNG

Non trivial and objective coverage by reliable sources such as: ynet.com, Jewish Week, All About Jazz (article) and Israel Times.

WP:MUSICBIO (Although single section notability is sufficient, Arad meets notability in 4 different sections)

Section1: Multiple Reliable Publications:

Section 6: Several of Kobi Arad's projects, featured several notable musicians:

● 'Sufi Songs' Trio featuring Bob Moses (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Moses_(musician) and Cecil Mcbee (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecil_McBee)

Section 7:

● Arad is a world-wide authority in the Third Stream style, as he is the first and only (as of 2012) musician to earn doctorate in the field.

Section 9:

Arad participted in multitude of interviews which featured panel discussions, airplay and interviews in Israeli National Radio, IBA (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_Broadcasting_Authority).

3. In case the requirements are fulfilled (links are alive, and you find #2 satisfactory, are you going to be willing to assist in living the draft and unsalt 'Kobi Arad' article?

Thanks :=) Ee212 (talk) 23:43, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

  • I was told by some editors I could edit draft thru WP:AFC - is that correct? Ee212 (talk) 23:44, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
I think this has been adequately answered on your own talk page. Please see my additional remarks there. --Deskford (talk) 06:41, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
