AfD nomination of List of shopping malls in the United States[edit]

An editor has nominated List of shopping malls in the United States, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of shopping malls in the United States (3rd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Mazza Gallerie[edit]

A tag has been placed on Mazza Gallerie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Redfarmer (talk) 23:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Montrose Crossing for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Montrose Crossing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Montrose Crossing until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Suggestions for exit lists[edit]

The terms exit, mile marker, etc are not proper nouns, so they shouldn't be capitalized. We also don't use ALLCAPS on Wikipedia; instead titles of books or articles are converted to Title Case or Sentence case as appropriate, and other uses are changed to Sentence case. The exit lists on articles usually have short, concise notes as well, and we leave editorializing like "Signed incorrectly as 'Shady Grove Road East' after MD-200 opened, causing many drivers to unintendedly wind-up on MD-200" out of the notes. Something like that could be mentioned in the body of the article though, if a reliable source for the information is included. Without a source, that's the sort of addition that qualifies as original research, which is not allowed in articles because Wikipedia only publishes the ideas and findings of others, not our own conclusions. If you have any questions, let me know. Imzadi 1979  00:22, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at Imzadi1979's talk page. Imzadi 1979  01:38, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In your recent additions that I reverted from today (November 7, 2011), I noticed a few things that I will again call to your attention. In exit list notes, the phrase "westbound exit and eastbound entrance" does not have any words capitalized unless it is the start of the notes. None of those words are proper nouns, so no capital letters are required. In addition, per MOS:DATE, we don't use "2/23/11" type date notation on Wikipedia; please spell out dates in full as either "February 23, 2011" or "23 February 2011" . (The former should be used though since this is US-related article without a military connection.) You can use "2011-02-23" which is a variation on ISO dates in references, but not in the body of any article normally. If you use the format you used for a date that falls within the first 12 days of the month, how would we be certain that "4/7/11" meant April 7, 2011, July 4, 2011, or even April 7, 11? (The British also use the slash notation like we do, but it's DD/MM/YYYY, and by dropping the "20" from the year, you leave open questions of in which century the year stated is.) July 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to New Jersey Turnpike, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add roads to the exit list that are not included on guide signs. Dough4872 21:14, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Please refrain from making these edits, Dea41396. As I noticed you ignored Dough's warning, and yet you still made unconstructive edits. I undid them, hoping you will think twice before adding inaccurate information to the Turnpike page. Thank you for your corporation. Have a nice day. Tinton5 (talk) 17:28, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

November 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Maryland Route 200, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The new section of the freeway does not open until November 22, so your edits are still premature. Please refrain from updating the article to indicate a different status for as-of-yet unopened interchanges before they are opened. Imzadi 1979  22:42, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know when MD-200 is actually opening? If not, then STOP calling my editing "non-constructive" Dea41396 (talk) 22:46, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, according to The Washington Post, it opens on November 22, so you're a bit over two weeks early. Imzadi 1979  22:49, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, but there was a run/walk/bike race on that section of the road a few weeks ago that I attended... So you are right, it is opening on the 22nd with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the 21st which I will also be attending Dea41396 (talk) 23:43, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The orange color on the exit list is for junctions/exits that are not open to vehicular traffic, even if the code in the templates is "unbuilt". So if you were attempting to change the coloring because the interchanges are built, that's still not correct because the color key at the bottom of the table clearly states "Unopened" for the orange color. Also, the gray color is not for "former" status as in a former terminus, but closed/removed/former interchanges/junctions. We had updated the key to use the word "former" as well, in part, because exit lists that have former exit numbers (see Ohio Turnpike) have that column shaded in gray to make it clear that the old exit numbers are not currently in use. Interstate 94 in Michigan used to have an exit 103 that provided access to Michigan Avenue, but that interchange was removed when the new exit 104 was built to connect to BL I-96, M-96 and M-311 a bit further east. So, exit 103 is shaded in gray since it has been removed and closed. Imzadi 1979  00:01, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clearing that up for me I wasn't aware but now I am Dea41396 (talk) 01:10, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May I ask why you are updating the highways MD 200 intersects with the line "Opened November 22, 2011"? Today is November 15.  V 02:05, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
