Fair use rationale for Image:Image:Rushmoor Logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Image:Rushmoor Logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rushmoor Logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rushmoor Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:10, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAC[edit]

Hello, I noticed that Run to You looks like your first FAC nomination. Welcome to the club! Please don't be discouraged that your article is currently receiving oppose comments. A lot of people new to FAC have similar issues. It does take a bit of time to get familiar with the criteria and be able to interpret it correctly. If the article is archived, I encourage you to take the constructive criticism and improve the article (that really is a great song and it deserves a great artcile), then come back to FAC later. A peer review is probably a good idea before you renominate for FAC. Feel free to invite me to the peer review - I'll be happy to comment. Good luck! Karanacs (talk) 21:10, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Daskill, this FAC nomination has been withdrawn. In a few days, a bot will run to update the article history of the article. Please do not remove the FAC tag from the article talk page until the bot has run. See WP:FAC/ar, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Star Trek XII[edit]

I suggest you read WP:NFF, the page I directed you to when I made the redirect. As there is no information outside of "they are writing a script" then a section on the Star Trek franchise page is more than enough. Once it reaches tipping point (and has a real title as it will not actually be called Star Trek XII) then the article will be created with the correct name and all information will move there. If you persist in changing the page from a redirect then I will simply request a full lock. As for an accusation of "This should be discussed before you delete it without asking anyone" I think you will find that you should visit the Star Trek and Film project and discuss the page there, you will find that the current consensus will be to keep the redirect. In future you should discuss before creating any future film pages. Darrenhusted (talk) 22:07, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't delete anything, I created a redirect, if you insist on creating a page then I will PROD it, then it will go to AfD. As the film will not be called Star Trek XII the page serves little purpose other than as a redirect. By all means go to the relevant projects and ask what consensus is. And IAR would not apply in this circumstance as NFF is part of a guideline on notability, and is something fails notability then it cannot have an article. Darrenhusted (talk) 23:06, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Star Trek XII, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Star Trek XII. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Darrenhusted (talk) 23:15, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sons Of Admirals requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Claude Le Péron requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ben Ben (talk) 23:46, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Claude Le Péron[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Claude Le Péron at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Albacore (talk) 19:52, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Daskill (talk) 23:36, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not entirely. I've had a look, too and there are some serious problems that need to be addressed. As it stands, the article cannot be approved for DYK and should probably be deleted if it's not re-written. Please have a look at my message to you at DYK. Thanks. Sons of Admirals user page[edit]

Hello.

I've noticed that your user subpage at User:Daskill/Sons Of Admirals may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline, per WP:STALEDRAFT. If you believe that your userpage does not violate the guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. Thank you. VoBEDD 15:39, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User:Daskill/Sons Of Admirals, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Daskill/Sons Of Admirals and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Daskill/Sons Of Admirals during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. VoBEDD 15:17, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
