Thanks for comments - I did write section you reference - I have a Ph.D. in biophysics from Univ of Pennsylvania (1974)

With all due respect the current 125 Khz RFID tags use on livestock on tires and on proximity access cards are all backscattered just like 13 Mhz and 915 Mhz tags.

For the record we helped develop the original 125 Khz tag and chips in 1983 that became Indulia Inc., later sold to TI. They were based on our custom chip designs used by IBM for in-store wireless display of price.

Have not paid much attention to this page for several years - we will update next few days ..
