Hello. Help expansion article Maureen Wroblewitz. Thanks you. 125.214.49.215 (talk) 07:45, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bacterial secretion system requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://colloidalfrere.blogspot.com/2015/04/secretion.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. • And this I think is a very hasty and imprudent decision. The said blogspot is, in all honesty, one that I have never ever seen, and I cannot even access it right now to know its content. If my article had been carefully read, it opens (the lead section, rather lengthy one) entirely and genuinely with my own words. In fact the rest of the text, i.e. Type I secretion, etc. came from the page Secretion. If mine is a copyright infringement, that page should also be immediately deleted. In fact, my plan is to present an exhaustive article on bacterial secretion system with new scientific information which are not covered in "Secretion" and sub-articles, and rewrite my page entirely. It is disappointing also that I am not given even a chance to justify (contest the nomination by visiting the page is already dead). I have so far worked diligently in improving medicine and biology information through Wikipedia. This action is a bit discouraging. Therefore, I request you to restore the page, and I shall do the rest. Chhandama (talk) 09:01, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for an accurate identification of an insect[edit]

Hi, would you have any idea of the binomial name of what is known as "thangnang" - mentioned in various places as either a bug or a beetle - supposedly an indicator of famines? Shyamal (talk) 15:36, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I think a couple of sources indicate it as Ochrophora montana (Distant). Shyamal (talk) 15:43, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That is correct. Chhandama (talk) 04:48, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning Rih Dil[edit]

As the same tribal origin, you know better than me. For archaiac soceity like ours, oral traditions like traditional war songs, nursery ryhmes, sacred incantations are the only sources from which we trace history. Concerning my addition to Rih Dil, I have originally mentioned part of traditional war songs. You would know the value of such as the same tribesman. Further, I have included another academic journal called Zolus as additional source here again [cf., Thang San Mung, “Sialkidul Li,” in Zolus Journal (17/2013), Yangon, Myanmar]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Khumpita (talkcontribs) 17:27, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for clarifying. But do note that this is English Wikipedia, and not a local dialect one, such that it demands strict verifiability and reliability. Without verifiable sources, folktales and ethnic songs make no legitimate information. It is good that you have added one magazine as a source, but then outside of Myanmar, we don't have any mean to verify it, but I take it for granted that it is authentic. And take care that you follow the system of citation. Just one more point, if I write to your talk page, you may continue the conversation there. Chhandama (talk) 03:18, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Death and funeral of Winston Churchill[edit]

On 30 January 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Death and funeral of Winston Churchill, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Operation Hope Not was the codename for planning Winston Churchill's funeral (procession pictured), the largest state funeral in British history? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Death and funeral of Winston Churchill), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Rokunga[edit]

Hello, rather than undoing my edit on Rokunga, perhaps you could offer a reason why and/or add a section yourself, or remove the tag if it's unneccesary? Bungle (talkcontribs) 08:23, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for sharing your concern. I an aware of making sections in articles, but my (minor) concern is that the text is too small and unlikely to increase so that only one section "Posthumous recognition", which does not reflect his notability, may be inappropriate; thus, it may be better to let it remain a stub. And my major concern is that you changed the statement "...most popular of which are" to "...the most popular believed to be", which you did not justify. According to who? The fact is that the original editor (which I am not) made his preferred list and missed other equally popular songs such as Lentupui Kai Vel, Tlawmngaihna hlu and others which are included in university literature curricula. These songs are also used as band music among Assam Rifles and Mizoram Armed Police – one can hear them every Republic Day and Independence Day. Moreover, the article ignores Rokunga's Christmas songs which are not only among the most popular but also the only traditional Christmas songs to Mizo people. That said "...believed to be" is a understatement. Chhandama (talk) 03:35, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your thorough response. If you feel sectioning isn't appropriate, then perhaps just remove the "needs sections" tag, which would have explained a bit more to me regarding your edit. On the other point, I felt "believed to be" was preferable to suggesting outright which are most popular, without an apparent credible source to substantiate this; your note of "according to who" could apply in equal measure when making a popularity assertion. It doesn't bother me though, as I have no particular interest in the article, which I encounted at the articles needing sections category, though i'd suggest removing the tag if you don't feel it's necessary at this time.
