Welcome to Wikipedia! I thougth I would just give you one pointer. When leaving a comment on WP:AIV, please use the vandalism template. You almost had it. It is written {{vandal|<IP address or Username>}}. You just forgot to type "vandal" which is not big deal. Otherwise, keep up the good work. If you have any problems or have any questions, just let me know. Thanks. -- Psy guy (talk) 12:48, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your article[edit]

Hello Charlie and welcome to Wikipedia. I happened to see your article and, while it is well written, might have a hard time passing WP inclusion guidelines. I would suggest that you try to make notability clear in the beginning of the article, and remvoe unencyclopedic information. Also, see WP:BIO for more info about writing biographies. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about WP. Best wishes, Paul 19:40, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Charlie-

Having your resume in the first line of the article will make it seem like vanity. A good place for any external link is in a heading after the article. Look at "edit this page" to see how I made this--

External links[edit]

For the links themselves, they should have an asterisk before them, then have the URL and a description (separated by a single space) and surround the whole thing with [ ]. Hope this helps. Paul 19:45, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's not vandalism, thank you. It's a considered comment about an obvious vanity page based on the usual ill-sourced and selective wank that constitutes the majority of amateur family history. Tearlach 01:17, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sure looked like vandalism...[edit]

Sorry, though! You want me to revert or do it yourself? Charlie Richmond 01:34, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you consult Wikipedia Vandalism#What vandalism is not. If you think my view of amateur genealogy is a breach of WP:POV or Wikipedia:No personal attacks, mea culpa. But it's not vandalism. By the way, blanking your personal Talk page, destroying record of discussion, is considered bad form. If you don't like what's currently there, archive it per instructions. Do you mean I should create Talk archive subpages? That's the only reference I can find to this and it doesn't really seem to apply. Charlie Richmond 01:56, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Theatre-sound[edit]

Hey, Charlie!

I'm a lurker on the theatre-sound list. When I saw you mention the sound design article, I followed on through to its history and tracked you down. I just wanted to say 'hello', and thanks for all the great information you add to the mailing list. If you need help with anything on Wikipedia, let me know.
