If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alma Anaya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disambiguation link notification for December 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lee Carter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:20, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce inappropriate pages, such as Impeach the Motherfucker, to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

– Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 04:41, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Caveman Caveman Caveman. Sorry for tagging this redirect as vandalism; I was working too quickly and didn't notice the phrase was mentioned in the target article. I'm still on the edge about whether the redirect is appropriate, but it definitely doesn't qualify for G3 deletion. Feel free to remove this notice if you'd like. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 05:10, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article 2021 New York City mayoral election has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is premature, per WP:CRYSTALBALL. The election is still almost 2 years out, and this article is mostly just speculation on who will run. Until there is a solid field of contestants, this is not article worthy.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. January 2020[edit]

Information icon Hi Caveman Caveman Caveman.  I wanted to let you know that political endorsements must meet all three of these criteria:

  1. The endorser must have an article or be unquestionably entitled to one
  2. This endorsement must be covered by reliable and independent sources
  3. Coverage of the endorsement needs to use the word endorse, or other closely related synonym.

This is covered by the consensus at WP:ERFC.

For that reason, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, poker websites, and blogs are not acceptable sources. Also, donating to a campaign or showing up to a campaign rally are not endorsements. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you - MrX 🖋 03:39, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please do not use Twitter for endorsements. All endorsements must meet all three of the criteria listed in my message above. - MrX 🖋 03:28, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Caveman Caveman Caveman. I notice you added an entry to List of Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign endorsements which did not meet all of the above three criteria. Please ensure that new entries you add meet every one of the criteria. — Bilorv (talk) 21:18, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Facebook[edit]

Facebook is not a reliable source for endorsements. Neither is Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, or any other social media site, personal website, blog, or podcast. - MrX 🖋 22:28, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

American politics discretionary sanctions notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

2021 Seattle mayoral election moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 2021 Seattle mayoral election, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Your contributed article, Humane Colombia[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Humane Colombia. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Humane Columbia. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Humane Columbia. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 19:56, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:FTC Commissioner Pamela Jones Harbour.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:FTC Commissioner Pamela Jones Harbour.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:17, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Today I noticed that in Stacey Plaskett, her surname was repeated dozens of times, where in normal English, pronouns are used after a person's name has been given. Looking at the article history, I found that you had introduced some of these repetitions: in this edit, you changed the lead section so that her surname appeared twice within three sentences in the first paragraph, and three times within three sentences in the second. I am wondering if there was some reason you were averse to using pronouns? Foghy (talk) 12:09, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

I also notice that you rarely if ever leave edit summaries, even when making substantial changes to article content. You should leave an informative edit summary describing what you are doing to articles. See WP:ES. Foghy (talk) 12:13, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Caveman Caveman Caveman. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Fiscal Responsibility Law".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

2022 Elections Task Force[edit]

Hi Caveman Caveman Caveman,

I'm looking at starting a task force of Wikipedia editors to work on the pages of candidates up for election in 2022. Many congressional member pages have very few votes or political positions (for example, compare Michelle Steel and Steve Chabot against Nicole Malliotakis), and so I think it would be a great resource for us to flesh out a lot of these pages ahead of the election to better support people who come to Wikipedia for information before they vote.

I see you've been active on a couple of congressperson pages recently so thought you might be interested. If you are, please message me on my talk page. Once I have a couple of interested editors I will work on building a task force page so we can coordinate our work. No worries at all if you're not interested or too busy. Thanks for everything you do for the Wikipedia communtiy!
