The example I rolled back is not a Factory Method Pattern. Actually none of the examples on the page are "Factory Method Pattern"s, they are all simple Factory Patterns. I mean no offense, but there is no reason why anyone would believe that the example I rolled back is a Factory Method Pattern, it clearly is not.
To correct this page would require a rewrite of each example. For me to do so unilaterally would open up a deluge of negative remarks from those who feel that this "switch on enum" is the proper way to do a Factory Method Pattern. Please join me on the discussion page for this article, and we can work together to correct it.
Also, for your information, I am a professional developer. I do not appreciate your comments regarding whether or not I am "qualified" to contribute to this page, especially when you know nothing about me or my qualifications. Ad hominem arguments are immature, I would ask that you avoid that in the future.
