The article already cited on Laura Mvula for DOB [1] mentions she is turning 28, the year of publication was 2014 meaning that her year of birth is 1986 not 1987 as listed. AllMusic also lists 1986. Therefore there was no need for me to add an additional source as I was simply correcting previous editors calculation. I have corrected this error again. Thanks (CambridgeJF (talk) 09:26, 22 March 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Ss112 please review the two cited articles both of which show date of birth as 1986. I also have legal access to a copy of Mvula’s passport confirming this but cannot cite here. (CambridgeJF (talk) 20:44, 22 March 2018 (UTC)) CambridgeJF (talk) 20:44, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Legal access to her passport"...It sounds like you're a manager or promoter of Mvula's, in which case, you should not be editing her article. This is a huge conflict of interest for you and I've reported your account. As for what you added, the sidebar of AllMusic states 1987 here, which you may not have seen—I concede that the prose of the AllMusic page says "born in 1986", and the AXS and iTunes source (reliable only for her age, not her genre) state 1986. iTunes is not a reliable source for genres; see WP:ALBUMAVOID. You were reverted; if you think Mvula is jazz, discuss your additions on Talk:Laura Mvula per WP:BRD and WP:CONSENSUS. If you do not discuss it on the article talk page and continue restoring your changes, (if you are not blocked for your evident promotional COI business right now) you will be reported to an administrator for edit warring. Quite frankly, you are being disruptive. Ss112 05:52, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your concession re: DOB. I understand the sidebar of AllMusic is not always viewed as reliable which is why I cited the two additional sources.

It is unfortunate that you feel I am being disruptive as I am just trying to ensure the information is correct based on articles I have read.

I was not fully aware of the 3RR edit warring rule but having read it - I understand that you should have read and responded to my first response here on my talk page before changing the DOB back to 1987. I accept that I should have noted more specifically my changes for the first edit of DOB from 1987 to 1986 however I thought that as the two sources already cited confirmed this that 'early life update' would be sufficient.

I am neither a manager or promoter to Laura Mvula so I will be disputing your conflict of interest

I've also added a Genre topic to Talk:Laura Mvula as suggested with numerous reliable sources. Do please add your thoughts after reviewing.
