Quotes[edit]

Hello, Brendan129. Regarding this edit you made to the Death of Caylee Anthony article, I reverted because...as I stated in this edit summary: "That's part of the quote. It's clear that it's an opinion, just like the others, because it's quoted to a specific person."

We shouldn't alter quotes unless altering them in a way that doesn't change the original meaning, such as using a bracket to specify who the source is talking about in place of "him" or "her" or "he" or "she." Flyer22 (talk) 06:08, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. March 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Spf121188. I noticed that you recently removed content from New York Post without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Before removing a well sourced statement, you need to bring it to the talk page to gather consensus. SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 19:20, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023[edit]

Hi, I saw you made the very bold change of adding "justifiably" to the first sentence of "Shooting of Michael Brown" without giving any reason or edit description, not to mention no consensus. Please read WP:POV, as this clearly violates guidelines, especially for an insanely controversial event such as this one. Thanks. TheXuitts (talk) 04:34, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The subsequent investigations by both local law enforcement agencies, as well as the Justice Department cleared Officer Wilson of any wrongdoing, as well as pointing out that many witness statements were fabricated, and that michael Brown was attempting to disarm the officer. This is addressed in other sections of the article, and therefore, makes the shooting justified both procedurally, and in the eyes of the law. Brendan129 (talk) 22:46, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
