Korean Art - WCI Student Feedback[edit]

Given that there was only a brief evaluation of the article and some additional sources, I'm not sure what to tell you to be completely honest. I guess make some more changes, create an additional section if you can to contribute.

This evaluation of the article is unbiased and has a very neutral stance. The structure is balanced and the sources the writer uses seem to be very reliable. A suggestion that I have is to go into more depth and expand your thinking, as this will improve your writing. Also, I was confused when you said "at first glance it seems fine but it isn't." What do you mean by that? Also, I would expand on the topic about “c-class.” What do you mean by that? Can you describe why that is relevant? Overall, this is a good start and most of the requirements are fulfilled in this writing. I just have a few suggestions on how I would go more into detail about this topic. This Wikipedia article is in good hands as far as content and reliability goes. In doing these edits I suggested, I think that this will greatly improve your writing. -The first source seems reliable and credible source that will definitely help give detailed information about Korean ceramics, sculpture, and jeweled arts -The second source seems reliable as well and it will give incite to the history of Korean Art -The third source ‘Treasures from Korea’ in the USA I feel doesn’t seem to be the most reliable source. Yes, it is an article from an international art magazine, but it would seem better if they used another source, like a book or a journal article that is written by a scholar. The author of this article is Louise Nicholson who is a freelance arts writer, so it doesn’t seem to be the most credible source. -How is your wikipedia page going to be similar and different from the other Korean Arts wikipedia page? -What order are you planning to write in? What time period are you starting from? Will you mention what Korean Art is like today? -What are you going to take from the original Korean Arts page or what will you expand on it? -I do agree that the other Korean Arts page does not have a lot of proper citation. This can be seen in the beginning when the writer didn’t give use a citation in the paragraph that begins with The Korean Art market. -For your wikipedia page you could try to write more about ceramics and sculpture, literature, and story-telling and comedy since the other Korean Arts page doesn’t really expand on that -You need to write more information on your topic in order for the topic to be fully fleshed out --Amanda48000 (talk) 16:31, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
