Hi, I do feel profoundly sorry for any bad or strong word I may have said in anger. However, I did feel angry when I saw that the South American Club Championship 1948 citations were being removed by you all over many wikipedia pages. Though unofficial at its time, that competition was , on April 29 1996, recognised by Conmebol as precursor to Libertadores , what is proved by Vasco's participation at Supercopa 1997 and Pioneers of The São Januario, the FIFA site's Vasco page. Surely the 1948 is not an offical Conmebol competition, but not citing this recognition is omit a very important fact. Though I agree that the competition was not (is not) an official Conmebol event, I think it is incorret not to acknowledge such recognition on Conmebol Wiki pages. I therefore think you ought to, instead of erasing all citiations to that competition, treat fairly: a 1948 club-sponsored competition recognised by conmebol as a precursor to Libertadores. Just to give you a show of how important that competition was, it included Di Stefano River Plate, Atilio Garcia Nacional de Montivedo, and the trophy was handed to Vasco players by non-other than Gonzalez Videla.
