June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Meles Zenawi, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Other biographical articles (e.g. Bill Cosby, Stephen Colbert) mention honorary degrees so I don't see any reason not to retain this information (since it is sourced, and specifies that it's an honorary degree). It would be reasonable to place the honorary degrees, and other awards, in an honors section (so long as everything is properly sourced). If you can cite when he earned the degree from Open University, then that is fine, maybe even specify that he earned it while in office. But beyond the existing link to Open University (which the reader can follow for hs or herself), I think it would be over-emphasizing the distance education aspect, which is not our job, and would be WP:NPOV-pushing. (And, for what it's worth, I say this as a non-fan of Meles.) Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:28, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Barnstar[edit]

Thank you for the barnstar! I did not expect it, which makes it all the more welcome. -- llywrch (talk) 05:21, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
