This help request has been answered. If you need more help, place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse.

My question is, is there really an estimated waiting time for someone to respond to the adopt request ? As I am eager to get started in editing. B2StealthLike (talk) 16:38, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. No, there is no estimated waiting time - everyone is a volunteer, and it depends when someone looks at the list. However, there is no need for you to wait to be approached: there is a list of users offering adoption at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters. You could make a direct request to any of them who have a green "Currently accepting adoptees" stripe above their entry.

The pages linked above will help you get a feel for Wikipedia: you might also be interested in WP:WikiProject Aviation. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:52, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption[edit]

Hi B2StealthLike. It's an ill wind... I was just looking in to see if MantleBeet005 had done any more damage to your userpages (you can feel free to remove that nonsensical barnstar if you want to, by the way) and noticed that you're looking for an adopter. I'm not all that into aviation, but I do know a hell of a lot about Wikipedia, and if you haven't found anyone better suited (in which case, no worries) I'd be happy to adopt you. Drop me a note on my talkpage and we can discuss it. Yunshui  14:13, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
