Ganon

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ganon. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Chickendorfer (talk) 02:21, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Reversion of vandalism and pure WP:POINT disruption do not count. Also you are a sockpuppet of user:The Clawed One. Chickendorfer (talk) 02:23, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Go right ahead- you're the one being disruptive. Let's see, forcing info onto Wikipedia in violation of its sourcing guidelines, violating 3RR using sockpuppets, plus blatant disgregard of wikipedia's civility policies? I'm ready for any "report" you care to make. Chickendorfer (talk) 02:27, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

About the report

Please understand that I'm not trying to take sides on that page. I just think that you and that anon IP could have both done more to work out your differences. Civility can be a difficult thing to accomplish, especially when you feel strongly about an edit, but as Wikipedians, we owe it to ourselves to attempt dialog and discussion whenever we can. Do you not agree? -- Daniel Davis 03:03, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

From what I can see on my end, I think the page was protected, which will keep the anon from editing it further. So that's one problem solved on one end- the "protective, not punitive" thing. So even if no action is taken on either end, you both will have some time to calm down and perhaps talk this over. -- Daniel Davis 03:08, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Well Bulbapedia is useless

Wow ijust got into a big fall out with the admins on Bulbapedia. All i did was add "or May Birch" to the May (game) article and it went into a crazy direction and all the admins come and team up on the guy who told a admin they were not suppose to protect a page they were in a content dispute with and it went from there. It got into a similar situation i had with Dreadstar. To make matters worse every time it cooled down someone else added their two cents. And apparently your not allowed to erase comments on talk pages period. Now why am i not allowed to remove comments i find troolish when the opeerson says somethign like "If you don't want to go any further on this mess, do not reply to this message. MoldyOrange 04:11, 6 September 2008 (UTC)" I just can never win.

Plus i got a couple of guys telling me that something i want to add to the culture section of the city i was born and raised in, isn't notable enough for its addition. It seems these wikis are just red tape covered forums for people who want to spend their time debating and arguing and ganging up on others.

So are you doing anything with the Pokémon Platium article? Yami (talk) 05:04, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

My reply here. Artichoker[talk] 15:43, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah i kind of noticed. I haven't been very active either. The worst part about bulbapedia is the admin circle is to small to effectively make decisions unbiasedly when other admins are involved. Plus i got the admin Kenji-Girl undoing my edits left and right.Yami (talk) 20:15, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Well the admins vandalized my tlak page and i get blocked. (on Bulbapedia)Yami (talk) 04:47, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

The research really wasn't original. I compiled the information from other's work on the matter. But if it's not allowed on Wikipedia, I'll go see if Bulbapedia will take it. Genericuser62637 (talk) 01:10, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Cool story. Thanks for making an ass out of yourself, in case you didn't know. I only reverted 3 times total. Not 4, see that other edit there? It was a source tag being added. Genius. I wanted to let you know this here, because you seemed offended. Now I'm actually offended you tried to say I violated a rule. Lying doesn't win you arguments.--HeaveTheClay (talk) 16:06, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Recurring enemies

So, just curious, how does someone who hasn't participate in the discussion for the past... well, you never actually participated. Ever. So, yeah, how does someone who's never uttered a word about it criticize someone who has just been discussing it four days ago? Both Kryten and I have been the only ones discussing criteria for inclusion in this article, and we both agree on the four games + significant role in a game criteria. If you disagree, you should take your own advice and discuss it (which I seem to be doing very little of, according to someone who's never been involved in any consensus on the issue, ever). Considering that only two agreeing members of a discussion have been involved for the past 20 days, the consensus established has very well been erased. - A Link to the Past (talk) 23:39, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Natalee Holloway

I won't defend Wehwalt's use of the word vandalism, but I won't attack it, either, because I think that you deliberately made an edit knowing that the resulting sentence was worse than one one you started with. First, ending sentences with a preposition is relatively common, and attempting to always avoid it results in very awkward English, such as the old joke about "That is something up with which I shall not put!"

Second, simply deleting the preposition is never the fix. ... and that her body was disposed of could be changed to ... and that someone had disposed of her body or ... and that her body was discarded, but not ... and that her body was disposed. That's worse grammar than the original.—Kww(talk) 02:44, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes, definitely. I just wanted to see a Pokémon article get to FA. Right now, I'm making the whole article sound less gamecruft-y. Can you work with me on it? Thanks. Tezkag72 (talk) 00:23, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

My reply here. Artichoker[talk] 00:27, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. What's weird is, earlier today (Today here is the 24, if the Wikipedia clocks say differently) before I even nominated it for FAC, I created these two userboxes.

This user has caught {{{1}}} of the Pokémon in the Pokédex of their copy of Pokémon Pearl.

Pokémon Platinum

There has been sparse discussion on the talk page for quite a while as far as I can tell. It definitely points to merging it. There is also the fact that all of the other third versions have been merged, and the common consensus to merge remakes to their main articles. I fail to see why any more discussion is necessary. TTN (talk) 22:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

No, that's not the way it works, and you should know that by now. There was no clear consensus to merge. When the discussion was initiated, there was some very clear opposition of the merge, and then the discussion died down (I should also note that you did not even participate). Then a few weeks later you simply merged it without any warning. If you really want it to be merged, re-initiate the discussion, so we can get a clearer, more-recent outlook on whether the article truly should be merged. Don't just merge an obviously highly-controversial article without any warning at all. Artichoker[talk] 22:31, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Common practice is generally a way to manage articles. Given that the reasons for keeping make absolutely no sense, and that the discussion definitely leaned towards merge, it seems silly to claim otherwise. I think I'll bring it up on the video game project along with the other two minor game articles (LG and FR and Ranch) to kill three birds with one stone. TTN (talk) 22:38, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
This definitely isn't common practice, and considering you never even participated in the discussion, I'd say you're not in the position to deem those reasons as nonsensical. Feel free to bring it up at the video game project, although I will say; the merge discussion you initiated on FireRed and LeafGreen, there was overwhelming consensus not to merge. Artichoker[talk] 22:42, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to resolve the issues. Considering I see you around Pokemon articles a lot, I figure I'll ask you this. I'm looking for an official source that defines the main Pokemon video game series to include only what is seen next to Handheld games in Template:Pokémon games. I'm sure there's one out there somewhere, that doesn't include the many spin-off games that has been released, but I can't find one. Know where I might find one? Thanks in advance! Gary King (talk) 22:41, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

My reply [1] here. Artichoker[talk] 23:33, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Preferably from Nintendo if possible, otherwise one just from any reliable source is fine, too. Gary King (talk) 22:45, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
The best I could find was this, which has them all under "Games Compatible with Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl" – but of course, this doesn't prove that they are part of the same series. Gary King (talk) 22:53, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Anyways, it would be useful to have a source if you ever plan to take the Pokemon games to become a Good Topic. Gary King (talk) 23:30, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Re:Abuse of Rollback

Hi, I believe there has been a misunderstanding here - I believe that I am involved in an edit war with KrytenKoro. I recently added the image, Image:Lakehylia600ppx.jpg‎, to the article,Universe of The Legend of Zelda, but KrytenKoro has been repeatedly removing the image I added without any valid reason. When I wrote on this user's talkpage to inquire as to why the user removed it, I received a series of personal attacks in response, which can be seen here, [3], at the bottom of the page, section "Universe of the Legend of Zelda". I have responded in as civil a manner as possible to KrytenKoro's messages, with these responses, 1, 2, but I still received the attack seen in the earlier link. "PCS"

It seems you removed the entry "Poster boy for Creationist Stupidity, title given to the popular but immoral YouTube creationist VenomFangX by Thunderf00t." from the list, with the caption "I agree, but this is not notable."

Given that VenomFangX is the most popular creationist on YouTube, with thousands of followers, I think it might be notable. (Thunderf00t's popularity also helps the notability.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.30.3.236 (talk) 20:49, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

A "popular" figure on YouTube does not establish notability. Only, verifiable, third-party sources can do that. In the mean time, I have reverted your edit to PCS; please do not re-add it. Also, one more thing in case you are wondering: I am not a creationist; my motive for removing the entry was for the good of the encyclopedia, not because I didn't like the content. For the record, I do fully accept evolution and am a fan and subscriber of Thunderf00t's videos. Artichoker[talk] 22:39, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I could tell that you did not follow VenomFangX. That was never an issue. I understand your opinion with regards to the entry's notability. I will not re-add the entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.30.3.236 (talk) 01:58, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Pokemon D/P

Hey there, I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on something: see, Final Fantasy XII has a section called versions and merchandise, and I thought maybe D/P ought to have a section like that. Maybe call the section "related merchandise" or something and since the last paragraph of the Development and release section doesn't really have much to do with the games' development or release, maybe move it to "related merchandise"? Then the paragraphs on Platinum and Ranch could be moved there or something?

Also, D/P looks like it's almost ready for FAC. Since you're the only other significant contributor who's edited the article in '09, is it okay with you if you're listed as one of the co-noms? Ink Runner (talk) 23:43, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
