Hello, Arifer. I don't understand why you think it is appropriate to remove the tags I added to this article: Much of the information in the article does indeed lack inline references, and (assuming that this submission was from you), you are Ariel Fernandez, and therefore do indeed have a conflict of interest in editing this article. I also think, as I said, that the article reads like a resume rather than an encyclopaedia article, and has entirely too many external links (which are quite distinct from inline references to independent reliable sources, which are almost completely lacking). --ColinFine (talk) 14:56, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Colin Fine, Thanks for your interest. The page is regularly policed by our team at AF innovation. To avoid conflicts of interest, the page was created by somebody different from Ariel Fernandez and has many links. All information is directly verifiable or linked, including the quoted scientific articles, the book, the lectures and informal pieces by Ariel Fernandez. This is part of the biophysics project and has elicited considerable interest given the impact of Fernandez's work. AF Innovation Team

Colin Fine is correct on both counts. In fact, I would go so far as to say that there is no evidence yet that Ariel Fernandez is notable. I'm not saying that he isn't notable, but there are no independent, reliable sources supporting the claims for notability. So far all the sources are written by Fernandez himself. I suggest you read the notability criteria for people and for academics in particular. Are there biographical statements attached to any of his prizes?

Your procedure for avoiding conflict of interest may help, but you are still employees of a company led by Fernandez, so it would be hard to avoid conflict of interest altogether. Dear AF InnovationTeam, thank you for the extra links. It would help, however, if you had a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources. In general, embedded web links are discouraged; I have been converting them to citations.

You say that someone else created the article and that "The major original contribution to this article is not ours", yet almost all the edits have been made by either User:Ariel Fernandez(talk) or User:Arifer(talk), the latter being an obvious contraction of the former. For greater objectivity, I suggest you work more of the material from the Nature News citation into the article.

I don't know what you mean by "remarks that are scathing to the reputation of the doctor". I have been talking about the article and what it needs. Mostly my aim is to improve the article, and in fact I have made some improvements myself. And this is Wikipedia - you can't make statements like "Further dialogue will require full disclosure of identity." You don't make the rules. If you think I'm being unjust, you could reply to my comment on the WikiProject Biophysics talk page. Or you could ask for a formal peer review. Humboldt Award?

According to your edit, the Humboldt Award is something different from the Humboldt Prize (which is also called the Humboldt Research Award, according to the Wikipedia article). Could you please provide a more detailed description of this award? RockMagnetist (talk) 16:55, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

The doctor received an award from the Humboldt Foundation in 1995 to supplement the Humboldt Fellowship that was awarded to him in 1985. This is not the Humboldt Prize.

This is Ariel Fernandez replying from wiki account Arifer. I/we have no control over any of the other dozen or so accounts that have contributed and edited the Wiki article Ariel Fernandez. The article is balanced, properly documented and well referenced as it stands today (September 29, 2012). In fact, it is far more objective and balanced than most Wiki articles as far as I can see. Furthermore, a recent contribution to the article made today reflects a very profound understanding of my work and was made by somebody completely unrelated to me. The article was created by a person unknown or unrelated to me, from accounts over which I have no control. Thus, there is no conflict of interest to the best of my understanding. The Arifer contributions have been limited to rectifying the record whenever some inaccuracy was detected or for completion of the record. Our AF Innovation Team and other independent contributors have complied one by one with all the demands of user RockMagnetist, including incorporating the independent reviews of my work by eminent science writer Philip Ball and published in Nature and Chemistry World (Royal Society of Chemistry) or providing links to my most prestigious awards. All information is to the best of my knowledge accurate and properly documented. I have not written or created the articles. My team has tried to rectify the record and from time to time polices the accuracy of the information.
