Help me review my draft before I resubmit it for approval

Thanks for correcting me.

I've updated my userpage to reflect the changes you requested of me. Please help me check the draft and let me know what areas to improve on specifically.

Leckson58, Thanks for declaring the WP:PAYDISCLOSE. Regarding your article, you can ask for help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk and Teahouse. Thank you. ~ Amkgp 17:26, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

I already asked for help and the points noted have all been fixed. The first reviewer noted that the draft uses too much press releases which I got rid of. The subject is discussed in depth in my references. Please help me check and let me know. Thanks in anticipation. Leckson (talk) 17:32, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Leckson58, I would leave it for the next reviewer for an independent review. Thank you. ~ Amkgp 17:34, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Leckson58, I can suggest you to go through WP:ORG and WP:NPOV ~ Amkgp 17:36, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, so should I resubmit it again or what exactly should I do now. Leckson (talk) 17:36, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Leckson58 I cannot comment on that, its your decision. I have done and suggested what I can offer you. Thank you. ~ Amkgp

Resubmitting might lead to declining. I've done all that was required of me by the former reviewer and I don't know what to do next. You're a respected Wikipedian and a veteran at that, please help me look at the draft and reference and suggest next steps so I will know where to look at and improve. Thanks for your time. Leckson (talk) 17:42, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Leckson58, The best place to your queries is at Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself ! ~ Amkgp 17:48, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

I'll repost my request there again. Thanks so much for your time. I appreciate the kind gesture. One last thing, after I improve the draft can I notify you to take a look at it for me before I resubmit. Thanks once again. Leckson (talk) 17:52, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

What reliable sources for hobby retro-HW project?

Hi, Amkgp, my first webpage is full of sources and links to webpages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:MB03%2B_Ultimate However it was signed as "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified.". I spent a lot of time to investigate the HW manuals and sort all capabilities, integrated peripherals and interfaces. The bottom of the page is full of links. Can you give me a practical example what to do better in order to allow the webpage be published? Thank you in advance. Regards, Zxhwfan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zxhwfan (talkcontribs) 19:25, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Zxhwfan, It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students. Apart, from that I can see you have worked upon the references. I have posted information for further links on Wikipedia article creations etc at User talk:Zxhwfan. Please go through them. Khea Emmanuel

why did you delete my first page created. I searched similar pages, why are you preventing me to write about a jazz singer with verifiable records? please stop this type of action. wiki is for all not just whom you deem fit.

if you would like go ahead and write your own article about her. I am very offended you put my article up for deletion. Very biased and unfair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EmpireMediaGroup (talkcontribs) 16:11, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello @Amkgp:, please see the talk page of WooPlus. Could you remove the speedy deletion? Thanks. Throwawiki (talk) 16:15, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi, My team has updated All Walks of Life draft. Please review at your earliest convience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MOVIEshort (talkcontribs) 18:45, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Norebo

Please withdraw your speedy deletion of Norebo. This is a totally different article from the 2 pages that were deleted so 1) speedy deletion is erroneous 2) the new article is notable. You shoudn't have been so fast in your deletion nominations. --ssr (talk) 18:58, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Ssr,  Done and page moved to 'Norebo Holding' to avoid again further CSD tagging. Thanks. ~ Amkgp 19:08, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! --ssr (talk) 19:09, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Wilde name change

Hi There!

I recently tried to submit the following change: I changed one of Wilde's middle names from O'Flahertie to O'Fflahertie with two "f"s in order to reflect Donald Mead's recent research in the academic journal The Wildean, no. 56, Jan 2020, which found that Wilde actually preferred this spelling and it was the one used at his baptism and court records. The other spelling is a more common Irish name, so it is generally assumed to be the single-f spelling. However, this is incorrect and goes against his official birth records.

However, you asked that I submit a citation. I could cite the Donald Mead article ("How did Oscar Spell His Name?" p. 63-72) that I mentioned above, but I checked citation rules and it's not recommended that citations are used within the lead. My edits were within the lead in Wilde's name. I see no other good place to add a sentence mentioning this name alteration in the body of the actual article. It's minutiae within the story of his life, but correcting it would reflect the accuracy of current scholarship. Please let me know what you recommend--adding a sentence near his christening records or adding a citation within the lead itself?

Thank you for your attention to this matter, SML — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.44.69.171 (talk) 13:52, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

@70.44.69.171: After the change, just cite the reference at the end of the sentence Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde (16 October 1854 - 30 November 1900) was an Irish poet and playwright. ~ Amkgp 13:57, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Citations on the article I wish to publish

Hi, thanks very much for checking over my article. You mentioned avoiding youtube and self-published sources for any referances. Most of my citations are now from Discogs and AllMusic, but I was wondering if it was ok to keep a couple of self-published sources and youtube videos as references for the band talking about their own members? Thanks --Isaac B (talk) 15:56, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Vgj843df, No, the draft should be strictly according to the notability terms stated at WP:BAND otherwise it will be either declined or rejected. ~ Amkgp 16:16, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Article for resubmission: Mama Sonic

First of all, thank you very much for a speedy review. Your comments, while perhaps very general, were a very welcomed introduction to my first editing contribution in over a decade. I have completely revised the first draft in multiple stages, adding proper citation (discographies / reviews / interviews), and think I've sent it in for resubmission now. Just wanted to pop in and check if I should be contacting you or someone else to have it reviewed again.

Thank you for your hard work!

So, Dear ~ Amkgp , have you created your own rules in Wikipedia ? "I'm writing about myself, or a close person/subject" See this in : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_wizard/CommonMistakes — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamesnemesis (talkcontribs) 14:32, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.

Dear Amkgp,

I have submitted an article about a reputed actor who is also a singer using details and facts from his own official website and reliable sources which I have mentioned below in the original article. I fixed some errors which I've done, after the previous rejection of my article. It was modified and included more details. But you remarked it as not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Please explain, because I don't find any reasons to not to publish it.

Thank you. --Devapriyali (talk) 17:28, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Devapriyali, The draft lacked WP:RELIABLE sources. I was unable to find the notability as per stated in WP:MUSICBIO. I would request to visit the above mentioned links. ~ Amkgp 💬 17:46, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Completely rewritten and prepared for review: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:MB03%2B_Ultimate

Hi, thanks for suggestions about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:MB03%2B_Ultimate I removed all problematic parts of the article, I think. Kind regards, Z. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zxhwfan (talkcontribs) 16:24, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Zxhwfan, That looks good to me, still I find that references needs to be improved. ~ Amkgp 💬 16:46, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Ooops, sorry, not able to do more, I can delete all references and the section of references. Will it be OK? I am a part of big hobby scene, which is active mainly in forums and social sites, hence no other reliable sources and official articles.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Zxhwfan (talk —Preceding undated comment added 16:59, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Zxhwfan, Not sure as it depends on the reviewer who will asses it ~ Amkgp 💬 17:04, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

OK. References removed. Categories Added. :-) unsigned comment added by Zxhwfan (talk

Zxhwfan But references are important as without them it is most likely to be declined ~ Amkgp 💬 05:42, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

If so, please delete the text.

Many particulars of the article, such as DivIDE, DivMMC, ESXDOS, KMouse, alternative ZX-ROMs, Gigascreen, MDOS3, 8bitDMA, ResiDOS, ZX-UNO and Spectrum NEXT

have hundreds thousands of users around the world,

but my friends also did not pass with these interfaces and enhancements through the wikipedia rules, so they set their own pages and wikis...

Pity. I am moving to https://faqwiki.zxnet.co.uk/wiki/Main_Page

South Devon Banks article

Hello I have reverted this article back to my edit, there is a Wikipedia page that forms a citable source

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_heading#Special_terminology_employed

Hope this makes sense. Original edit was to correct factually incorrect statement.

Edit reversion - Bengal famine

Hi, could you be more specific about why you reversed my edit? You cited irrelevance - I thought it was pretty relevant, as it adds context to the previous sentence on the lack of international imports, ‘ostensibly’ due to a shortage of wartime shipping. WelshDude2 (talk) 06:26, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

WelshDude2, Thanks for the explanation. you can add it again but remember to add this → (it adds context to the previous sentence on the lack of international imports, ‘ostensibly’ due to a shortage of wartime shipping) in edit summary for clarity in reviewing. Thank you. ~ Amkgp 💬 06:31, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
