Untagged image[edit]

An image you uploaded, Image:Seal ambler borough.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- OrphanBot 07:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Valley Forge[edit]

Have you seen this article, "A new view of Valley Forge"? It has a lot of good information for the Valley Forge National Historical Park article. --evrik (talk) 14:17, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated the article Villanova University Mock Trial for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Villanova University Mock Trial. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Villanova University Mock Trial during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Lowry[edit]

I didn't realize that he didn't graduate (I don't exactly follow basketball). I guess it depends, also, upon how one defines an "alumnus." I think the colloquial use is someone who graduated, but the dictionary definition seems to include anyone who attended a school for any significant length of time. I have no strong feelings, either way! Dppowell 17:27, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning vandals[edit]

Hello. I'm in agreement with the recent revert you made to Battle of Germantown. You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. --AW 17:28, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:090431665022.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 03:37, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think I may have stepped on you toes by accident. I meant to revert yet another piece of unsourced commentary by an anonymous IP. Sorry. ccwaters 17:45, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi folks! I may or may not have the time to pursue your spinning of the Allentown story but, maybe I will. Please remember that Wikipedia is not a tool to be used by the compu-intelligencia to lord over a particular matter. Your vision is not necessarily the correct(read only) acceptable/notable version. While I am an "annoyance" to professionals like you two (do you see each other socially?), in only a short while, I could develop the skills necessary to insure that neither of you can simply wipe away things with which you disagree. While the creators of Wikipedia, I'm sure, appreciate the attention paid by folks like you, they are also cringing at the fact that action such as yours severly impacts the credibility of the product. Take care. Signed, "Mr./Ms. Anonymous"

I can create the article but I need sources. I don't know a thing about the transit company. Please join the project, we could use you. -- JA10 T · C 07:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Secret Life Walter Mitty LP.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:20, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
