Notability of Joan Arend Kickbush[edit]

A tag has been placed on Joan Arend Kickbush, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. SkierRMH 02:13, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joan Arend Kickbush[edit]

I've removed the speedy tag as I feel publishing works is a statement about a person's potential notability. I've also tried to clean up the article a bit. You might want to look at WP:MOS, our Manual of Style, to see how to format articles. Please let me know if you have any questions! You can leave a message on my talk page (using ~~~~ at the end of your message to sign it), or you can get quick assistance by placing {{helpme}} on your talk page next to your question. An experienced editor should be around quickly to help you out. I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian! Cheers! -- Merope 04:53, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to WikiProject Alaska![edit]

Hi there, Nick! Just a small note: I saw your edits to Magnus Colcord Heurlin, thanks! Don't forget to mark minor edits as minor. I'm working on Alaska artists (slowly); if you know more about others, check out the category listing. Deirdre 18:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sir Joseph Hood, 1st Baronet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have nominated Sir Joseph Hood, 1st Baronet, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sir Joseph Hood, 1st Baronet. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Seems to have been my mistake, I apologize. Happy holidays! :) Jmlk17 06:46, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
