Welcome[edit]

I see you have just joined Wikipedia but have not received the normal welcome 'pack' given new editors. Probably this is because you have not registered under an individual name (which does not have to be your own). In general, that helps to if you want your edits to be taken seriously. Anyway, since the pattern of your edits so far seem to demonstrate that you want to make an impression, I'm providing information on procedures which you might find helpful. You may already be familiar with some of them, but you might find it useful to have them all together to refer to.

I also see you have strongly held opinions on Indian matters particularly and one of your edit summaries states that you do not care about the guidance on neutrality WP:NPOV. This will inevitably bring you into conflict with other editors. Guidelines are there to ensure the smooth running of the Wikipedia community that you have just joined. If the changes are too contentious, other editors will simply reverse yours, so if this happens it's a good idea to get consensus (and possibly useful guidance) by bringing up the change you want on the Talk page of the article in which you're interested. Personally, as a Buddhist, Christian dating annoys me, especially as there is a perfectly good Common era alternative. There is guidance on that at WP:ERA incidentally.

In making changes, it is always best to remember that personal opinion or knowledge is not sufficient on Wikipedia; you have to have proper references to back any point made. That is, of course, responsible encyclopaedic practice. It might be a good idea to find yourself a mentor interested in guiding new editors through the complications of procedure and practice here on WP. I'm not offering myself, but I could easily help you find one if you are interested. Just let me know here. Sweetpool50 (talk) 10:15, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
