Edit conflicts[edit]

In answer to your question here, if two people edit the same page at the same time, only one of their edits will be saved. The other will have what's called an edit conflict. GBT/C 11:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Richard-beaumont-actor.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Richard-beaumont-actor.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Richard-beaumont-actor.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Richard-beaumont-actor.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:42, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aaron Lazare, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MD (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:KCSlogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:KCSlogo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 12:46, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with... Hi! Can someone explain why the page "Ken Klukowski" (which I created yesterday) was moved to the "Draft" space? The "Talk:Ken Klukowski" page says "13:14, 12 July 2022 Fram talk contribs moved page Talk:Ken Klukowski to Draft talk:Ken Klukowski without leaving a redirect (WP:BLPCRIME issues) (revert) (thank)", so I assume the page has some issues with the "Biographies of Living Persons" policy, and specifically something regarding "a living person accused of a crime," but I am not aware that Mr. Klukowski has been accused of any crime. Any clarification appreciated! 2rock (talk) 14:24, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The draft claims he was involved with efforts to overturn the election, which is being investigated as a crime. 331dot (talk) 15:33, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick reply. I removed the language implying that Klukowski was involved with efforts to overturn the election and tried to move the article from the Draft space back to the main space, but got a message saying "The page could not be moved: a page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid." It's true that a page with the name "Ken Klukowski" already exists, but it just redirects to "Draft"Ken Klukowski." How do I move the page back to the main space? 2rock (talk) 16:30, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The answer for WP:BLPCRIME is not to delete valid info about his crimes. The page is not sufficient for mainspace. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:44, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, I looked at your draft. Yeah one of the guys' jobs is reported in a reliable source or two. But so are a million million other people. To create a biography in live "article space" instead of draft space, you need more to satisfy WP:NOTABILITY. See also WP:INDISCRIMINATE. You have a start, but the bio needs more in order to be something of encyclopedic value, in my view. Otherwise, I would have a page of my own.... but no one would ever care about it! NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 03:43, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for the response. I suppose the thing I thought was notable was that he was essentially hired to be an assistant to John Eastman and Jeff Clark during their efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election (and he was mentioned during the House Select Committee's hearings), but that alone is apparently not sufficient for notability. I'm still learning! Thanks again for the info. 2rock (talk) 10:45, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you're interested in writing (or improving) biographies of living people, you'll get a great education by adding WP:BLPN to your watchlist, and just reading the discussions for a few weeks NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 12:37, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done, thanks for the tip! 2rock (talk) 12:40, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
