Semi-protection[edit]

Any anonymous editor can request an edit to a semi-protected page with {{edit semi-protected}}. They can also request unprotection at WP:RFPP; an admin may in fact determine that there was too little vandalism in the page's history to have justified protecting the page. Protection is based on frequency of vandalism, not how "controversial" to topic is. Many everyday-word articles like the one you commented on received just as much vandalism as controversial topics.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  11:02, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
