RESPONSE: I am sorry, but the links are in perfect accordance with Wikipedia instructions, as clearly stated here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#What_can_normally_be_linked

The link was to the official site of the Oxford lectures and to the book, as per items 1 and 2.

This is a very legitimate and well-sourced update to information on an entry from someone who knows his credentials well, so I would appreciate it if you don't change it again. In fact, it needs another change, because the man played rugby when he was a student, that is not his profession as you can see from his page. He is a historian. The title of the page should be changed but I don't have an account to do so. If you could remove the 'rugby union' part and replace it with 'historian', that would be much appreciated.
