@Quinton Feldberg: Hey, I'm not actually a "new Wikipedian". I know that the welcoming is well intended, but it is my personal belief that it can often be a waste of resources, especially if users are trying to increase their edit count. Welcome messages don't actually improve the encyclopedia. While people might think that a friendly form letter might give wikipedia editors some sort of warm feeling, there is absolutely no evidence that it in anyway improve the quality of wikipedia as an encyclopedia.

I'm not sure if you've ever read them, but I really do believe in the 5 pillars of wikipedia! The main reason I prefer to contribute as an unregistered user is that Wikipedia is not a social networking service. Wikipedia should not, in my opinion, be a forum for outside, unrelated politics but for some reason it happens.

I see that you would like to be an admin. I recommend avoiding potentially contentions material on your user page if it is unrelated to wikipedia in anyway. Displaying that you oppose the POTUS on your user page does not improve Wikipedia. This sort of content is probably better suited for your facebook page or blog.

User categories (subcategories of Category:Wikipedians) are intended to assist collaboration between users and not as a way for people to display their political affiliations.

Knowing that a wikipedian's interested in a specific topic can be useful for collaboration but knowing that a user has very strong political opinions may actually impede civil collaboration.

As per Wikipedia:Overcategorization/User_categories, the Category:Wikipedians_who_are_against_Donald_Trump is not appropriate. I will nominate it for deletion. If you are interested in participating in the discussion you can here.

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address.
