Recreating articles on non-notable topics[edit]

Please stop recreating the Glorfindel article. It does not pass WP:GNG in its current form. Lava Lamps (talk) 04:57, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto, please stop recreating the Blue Wizards article, or indeed any others that have been merged, redirected, or deleted by the community, without extremely good reason which you explain in detail on the relevant talk page, and ADD NEW Reliable Sources to prove that the topics are, in fact, notable. Please read the policies on the ends of these links, they are central to Wikipedia and you really can't do anything useful here without understanding them. At the moment you're just making a mess and wasting other volunteers' time. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:44, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you are repeatedly, without justification, asserting that Hobitit as a television film series is not a film. I'm sorry but that is just silliness. A made-for-television film is still a film. You can't argue that film is only celluloid or something of that sort - Hollywood films are all shot digitally nowadays. I'd be really grateful if you could leave Hobitit and Template:Middle-earth films alone; the status quo is that it is included, until such time as any different CONSENSUS is reached by all editors involved, via discussion on the relevant talk page. Many thanks for your understanding, Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:58, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have slightly more justification for removing it from The Hobbit; as the article says "Except for a flashback to Bilbo's encounter with Gollum, no material from Tolkien's novel The Hobbit is used." -- which means that SOME mention of The Hobbit is in fact made, so one could argue (because of the flashback) that it is relevant there also, but I won't press the point. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:00, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kleise ta matia moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Kleise ta matia, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks for uploading File:The Lord of The Rings trilogy poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

File source problem with File:Christoforos Papakaliatis.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Christoforos Papakaliatis.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. A tag has been placed on File:Lotr logos.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:The hobbit the battle of the five armies thatrical release poster.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The hobbit the battle of the five armies thatrical release poster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:03, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Lord of the Rings (1955 radio series), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gimli and Ioreth. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to The Hobbit (film series), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 15:57, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Regé-Jean Page.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Regé-Jean Page.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 10:32, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
