Introduction[edit]
1947 election would be important to the new 4rth republic as the fall of the old one during the times of Nazi occupation and the split of the nation between the west and east side. After the split of the SFIO[1] between members joining both sides of the Radical-Socialist Party and the newly founded French Liberalist Union. One of these guys would be Vincent Auriol,[2] who was one of the founders of the party.
