Floreasca is a district in Bucharest, Romania in Sector 1. Its name comes from Lake Floreasca which is situated in the north of the neighborhood.
The neighborhood was build on a former landfill site. It's mainly composed of apartment blocks and has many parks. The Floreasca Hospital is situated in the south part of the neighborhood. In 2008 work at the Floreasca City Center started in the area. [1]
