Primelite Manufacturing Corp.

The lighting factory, located in Freeport, New York, was first established on March 23, 1962. The original owner was Irwin Heit, an innovator and businessman, and he kept the ideal of producing American-made lighting fixtures until he retired. His son Benjamin Heit carries on the company's promise of keeping the manufacturing process within the United States and is the current president of Primelite Manufacturing Corp.

Primelite's goals are to provide indoor decorative fixtures and outdoor commercial and residential fixtures at a reasonable price, offer the latest lighting technology, and offer customizations of the fixtures based on customer need. With these three principles in mind Primelite is able to create a wide variety of fixtures that suits the needs of the customers. The business sells to lighting stores all over the country and does not sell to the public directly.

The majority (95%) of the merchandise is manufactured in their factory and every fixture is made to order.

Almost any fixture can be powder-coated with one of their 29 finishes. If the fixture is steel it can be plated with one of five plated finishes.
