I'm a retired programmer, living in San Francisco, USA. I have been an admirer and constant user of Wikipedia since it's inception. I might, in the future, want to contribute some content, but for now I'm just poking around, familiarizing myself with the editor, operational structure, editorial conventions and culture. Even if nothing else comes of this effort, I hope thereby to become a better user.
