About Me[edit]

I am a young woman, 23 years old, and I live in New York City. As you might guess, I am an aspiring digital artist. I love to work with digital photo stills to make pictures like the one on this page; I took the photo at left myself on a cool fall day in 2004 and hope someone gets as much use out of it as I have. I also am learning to make special effects in video, but computer modeling is quickly becoming my most favorite thing (building and designing characters in Maya.)

I am an eccentric, a humanist, a romantic, and a nerd. My screen name equally is a pun on my full name, the name of a favorite character in X-Men, and a nickname for a mountain lion, a favorite drawing subject. I am a voracious reader and committed wikipedian as my interests encompass nearly everything this world has to offer. With any luck I can make something out of all this someday, but in the meantime, see you all out there.

Quotes[edit]

Until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things, man will not himself find peace. -Dr. Albert Schweitzer

All love is pursuit of the whole.-Plato

A house divided against itself cannot stand... I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.-Abraham Lincoln

The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.-Michelangelo Buonarotti

We cannot rely exclusively on military power to assure our long-term security. Lasting peace is gained as justice and democracy advance. -George W. Bush

My interpretation of the last: Hmmm....You and your cronies have reduced large Muslim countries to rubble supposedly in my name, violated the Geneva Convention, allowed logging in national forests, sat idly by while allowing prisoners to be tortured, ignored the cries of a grieving mother until the media forced you to see her (and then only giving her a few moments of your time) cut funding for the poor at home while the rich got a tax break, and worst of all you are still not finished. My question is not so much to ask how you intend to further execute this "peace", but to ask rather how you manage to sleep at night.
