KERALA BLASTERS ARMY

Kerala Blasters Army is the registered fan club of Kerala Blasters FC, a professional football club based in Kochi, Kerala, India formed on 4 th June 2014. The club has been registered with the Kerala registration department under the Societies registration Act 1860 with the Registration No: EKM/TC/138/17. It consists of fans from all the districts of Kerala and also from abroad who share a passion for football and a desire to support the Kerala Blasters FC.

History

The Indian Super League (ISL) paved a new era of football viewership in India, and the announcement of the Kerala-based football club, Kerala Blasters FC, was a delight for football lovers in Kerala. A group of football enthusiasts formed a group supporting Kerala Blasters FC and named it Kerala Blasters Army. Initially, the members of the group interacted through social media, but they soon realised that their activities should not be limited to online interactions. They came together to form a fans club in 2015, with the first meeting attended by 27 members from different districts of Kerala. The members discussed and formulated the club's mission and vision, and the first committee was formed. The main mission of the club was to strengthen football in Kerala by supporting the Kerala Blasters FC.

After the all-Kerala meeting, the club arranged meetings at different districts and formed district wings. The club was officially registered with the Kerala registration department under the Societies registration Act 1860, making it the first registered fan club of Kerala Blasters FC.The club was able to organize various programs in and out of the stadium to nurture a football culture in Kerala and support Kerala Blasters FC. The club survived different crises on the path to becoming the first Registered Fan club of Kerala Blasters FC.

Activities

Kerala Blasters Army is a mission-driven fans club aiming to improve the quality of football in Kerala and spread awareness among people about the need for a football culture. The club is conducting various activities in and out of the stadium to nurture a football culture in Kerala and to support Kerala Blasters FC. The main challenge faced by the club, which consists of common members. The club has been able to organize different programs during ISL for Kerala Blasters FC, such as Match day Rally, Decorations, Chants, tifos etc. in the West Gallery. The club rejuvenated the West Gallery by amalgamating other small and scattered fan groups of Kerala Blasters FC.

Today, the club has over 300 registered members, an All Kerala committee, district committees, more than 40 active WhatsApp groups, a Telegram group with 4000 members, a Telegram channel, and an active Facebook group. The club aims to provide a football-friendly ecosystem for younger footballers and generations to come by supporting Kerala Blasters FC.

Membership

The membership of the club is given with strict guidelines. Each member should give their name, full contact address, phone number, and identity card copy (any one approved by the Government of India or the State Government of Kerala). They also need to agree to the rules and regulations of the club.
