Important information for minors

Retired exploration geologist - 50+ years experience. Main interest - geometry of structures in thrust belts. Thrust belt experience includes: Appalachians, Idaho-Wyoming Thrust Belt,Brooks Range, Papua New Guinea, Alps, Apennides, Dinarides, Central California Coast Ranges.

I find too much interpretation and very little actual data in geologic articles about thrust belts. Discussions on tectonics are two dimensional, rather than four dimensional and are theory based, rather than based on field data. Very few articles include balanced cross sections, an absolute necessity.

My intent in joining Wikipedia is to challenge widely held throries which perpetuate inaccurate geological theories. I intend to comment only upon articles in which I have direct field experience.
