Buck Mountain is a mountain located in Washington County, New York. A part of the Lake George Wild Forest in the Adirondack Park, its close proximity to the village of Lake George makes the mountain a popular destination among tourists and locals, especially so during summer.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). The summit offers expansive views of the lake and Adirondack Mountains. To the west Dome Island can be viewed and the town of Bolton is seen across the lake along its west shore.[4]Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).

The New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) maintains two trails to the peak of the mountain, one to the east off of Shelving Rock Road, and another from the west off of Pilots Knob Road. It is listed as one of the DEC's Great Winter Hikes.[4][1]
