Narottam Prasad Sil, born in May 9, 1971 Kolkata, India. Through the developing years he had only one goal in life to be a Director in Stage & Films and eventually accomplished his target throughout the 34 years of endeavor in Performing Arts since 1985 and finally directed his first Bengali Feature Film Gobhir Gopon Brishti in the year 2018.

After his prolong 28 years of struggle he got the opportunity to make his debut Bengali Feature Film Gobhir Gopon Brishti (Hall released on 30th March 2018, 21 Screens of West Bengal) as a Director where he has played multiple role as story, script writer & director. Casting comprised of renowned Bengali artists like Samadarshi Dutta, Sudipta Banerjee, Kaushik Sen, Supriyo Dutta, etc. and the film was produced by Debanjali Entertainment.
Short Film "Morok – The Overlay" Scripted and Directed by Narottam Prasad Sil, screened at International Short Film Festival on 08 November 2020, organized by Anukriti and won 7 Best Awards such as Best Actor, 2nd Best Actor, Best Camera, Best Edit, Best Director & Best Film. It has been recently screened on the Kolkata International Film Festival 2023.[1]
