The reason I am here

I feel like I am indebted to Wikipedia. When ever I need or wanted to learn about a topic I have always gone to Wikipedia. I have used Wikipedia on countless school assignments as well as for personal use. Without Wikipedia it is likely my grades (and knowledge) would have been much lower. I created this account to give back to Wikipedia for everything it has given to me. Whenever I see something that I think could be better I act boldly and adjust it. If your a long time editor (or even a newcomer) thank you for taking you time to build/improve this amazing resource.

The origin of my username

My legal name is Mason. One of my friends form middle/high school calls me "MasonJar" in he cellphone contacts. I don't know why he does this, but I thought it was funny and went along with it. When I tried to sign up to Wikipedia the username "MasonJar" was taken so I needed to add something else. I decided to add the number "55" to the end of my username. I choose the number fifty five because it was my position number in my high school marching band field show.

About me

• I am a young adult male that lives in the state of West Virginia (USA)
• I was a member of the scouting organization until high school graduation.
• I was a member of the band, playing the trombone. While I may not have been the best, I certainly wasn't the worst. However, my involvement in the band ended after high school graduation.
• I enjoy playing video games in my free time.
• I am a proud enjoyer of the Paw Paw (Asimina triloba) fruit.
• I have an unexplainable fascination in microphones and flashlights.
• I run an awful YouTube channel that I am too embarrassed to link here.
• I consider myself to be an Urbanist and use transit 10+ times a week.
