History[edit]
On the second anniversary of Zimbabwe's independence in April 1982, the capital of Zimbabwe, Salisbury was renamed Harare. The city adopted both new municipal arms and flag.
Description[edit]
Five stripes as follows:
- First stripe: six yellow sun rays
- Second stripe: plain yellow stripe
- The central stripe is red with two yellow tobacco leaves
- Four stripe: plain yellow stripe
- Five stripe: plain blue with a yellow Zimbabwean bird in the centre.
