This page is being created in an effort to uncover facts about the true origin of the organized sport of Disc Golf.

The sport is growing with astonishing speed, and many people are curious as to where the sport of disc golf came from and how it got started? Those questions are asked by many people.

Attempts to answer those questions by people who don’t really know the facts have led to many apocryphal stories, half-truths, and down right wrong information being disseminated about the origin of disc golf. Wikipedia itself is rife with misinformation about the subject.

Currently, three individuals who go back to the beginnings of the Sport of disc Golf are writing a book that hopes to dispel the misinformation and get the facts straight.

We are calling upon anyone who has information about the early years of disc golf to contact us at jimpalmeri@hotmail.com .

We are interested in photographs, events, and people who were in involved with disc golf activities prior to 1974.
