Hiss is the fourth full-length album by Singaporean grindcore band Wormrot. It was released on July 8, 2022 on Earache Records.
Background and release[edit]
The band's first album in almost six years, Hiss, was announced on Wormrot's social media on March 16, 2022, and a single track, "Behind Closed Doors", was released.[4] On March 18, a videoclip comprising the songs "Grieve", "Weeping Willow" and "Voiceless Choir" was released. The band described it to be heavily inspired by their favourite childhood crime drama TV shows, as well as Japanese movies from the 1970s.[5]
Hiss was released on 8 July 2022 via Earache Records on limited coloured vinyl, cassette, CD and digital download. The album also became a part of a new cassette box set featuring all four studio albums.
