Hello!

I am a father and a pharmacist who lives in the Azores (an archipelago of small islands in the north Atlantic). I have several areas of interest such as the cosmology of the Big Bang or Military History (from the XIII to the XVIII centuries) and Political History of Spain and Portugal (the two countries of the Iberian Peninsula).

Thought irrelevant, my real (and huge) name is Evo Eduardo Soares Pereira de Camões Fernandes and i have the privilege of living in Angra do Heroismo, a little town classified by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

I decided to help wikipedia with my contribution for the Battle of Toro (1476) because I realized that even in a dynamic and modern encyclopedia as the Wikipedia the information (about it) was very scarce and sometimes confusing and even contradictory (sometimes each editor assuming a nationalist position about that battle). It is impossible to understand the History of Spain without knowing the History of Portugal and vice versa. So it is crucial to take in consideration the sources of both sides, which almost never happen on this subject (and not only in Wikipedia).

I also contributed for the Spanish invasion of Portugal (1762), a largely unknown but decisive episode of British, Spanish, French and Portuguese military history.

I hope I can learn with the other editors and read their suggestions or constructive critics about this and the next articles and contributions I intend to do. It will be fun to help building the most democratic and interactive encyclopedia of ever: Wikipedia.

Thank you.
