During an attack on Utopia by a group of Sentinels, Sam noticed a breakdown in the chain of command between Cyclops and Wolverine. Skirmishes started to break out over the island on whose side people where going to side with. Sam joined Wolverine's side, and with the help from
Wolverine and Iceman they left Utopia to reopen the school in West Chester to teach the next generation of mutants. But with the resurrection of Cable and Bishop's return from the timestream. Wolverine puts Cannonball in charge of a new team, X-Strike to track them down in hopes to advert the tensions between the X-Men and the Avengers. |

Accepting his offer knowing that Emma Frost is on Utopia, Angel takes the position as guidance counselor for the student body. As Wolverine finds out that Cable's alive and has targeted the Avengers to protect Hope Summers and the return of Bishop, being a former Avenger she offered her services to help out in any way she can. As Gibney was saved by Aurora, Rossovich was retrieved by S.H.I.E.L.D and placed in cryogenic freeze to slow down the effects of his wounds. Transferred to the custody of Wolverine and Beast, Red's condition was stabilized using Sage's power to enhance the control over his death spores.
