Interests

I am a masters student at University of Oxford with academic knowledge in the areas of chemistry, biology, anthropology, philosophy, and African Studies. Additionally, I have a basic interest in health issues, current events, movies, international culture, environmental issues, and ethics.

Goals on Wikipedia

I value concision in Wikipedia articles, as well as accurate citation of academic sources. Articles should be easily accessible to non-experts but potentially helpful as sources of in-depth information or further reading for those familiar with the issue at hand.

I also believe that Wikipedia should have comprehensive coverage of major events and people influencing those events. Aside from providing knowledge per se, one of the most important roles of Wikipedia is to provide a history of knowledge and those who have contributed to it. In this way, various perspectives on issues within the knowledge pool may become evident, as well as the process leading to the current epistemic consensus.

In hopes of increasing the use of Wikipedia by Swahili-speakers, I am involved in translating articles to Kiswahili.
