Studied philosophy at college (Amherst); Obtained a Ph.D. in English Literature (19th C. Narrative Fiction, specialization + Pastoral Elegy) at Grad School, (UCSB), then have worked in American entertainment as a copywriter, editor (words only--not visual media), and film marketing specialist, educator, scholar and consultant ever since. Movie Trailers--their history, formal dynamics and current practice--are a subject about which I've lectured at the University level, given talks about and on which I've published in academic journals. But as much as I celebrate the life of the mind, I'm keen on the life of the body and am an avid skier, tennis player, swimmer, hiker and biker. I love to travel and have lived abroad 4 times so far.
