Local elections were held in Santa Cruz on May 12, 2019 within the Philippine general election. The voters elected the elective local posts in the municipality: the mayor, the vice mayor and eight councilors.

Background[edit]

Incumbent Domingo Panganiban was term-limited and running for vice mayor his nominee is former Laguna's 4th District Representative Edgar San Luis, Incumbent Board Member Joseph Kris Benjamin "Benjo" Agarao is the nominee of the opposition and former Mayor Ariel Magcalas was running for a come back as Mayor but lost again.

Incumbent Luois De Leon is term-limited and running for councilor incumbent Mayor Domingo Panganiban ia his nominee, Rizaldy Kalaw is the nominee of the opposition and Laarni Malibiran is the nominee of Magcalas for vice mayor.

Incumbent Laarni Malibiran and Rizaldy Kalaw is running for higher position, Incumbent Florencio Odejar, Roselon Pamatmat and Serafin San Juan Jr. is term-limited and Incumbent Ramon Tan and Ronaldo Obligacion is seeking reelection, Tan later won and Obligacion later lost.
