Dr. Jeffrey Mathis (born 1964) is an American doctor, Philanthropy, Entrepreneur and Healthcare Pioneer. Mathis has owned various types of healthcare clinics throughout his career, (see Entrepreneurship) and holds multiple degrees and certifications in the healthcare field (see Education).

Mathis was born in 1964, in Junction City, Kansas.
In 2013, one of the daughters of (Dr. Jeffrey) Mathis, took her own life. This event launched Jeff into creating Katie's Way (see below in Entrepreneurship".
Mathis has been involved in philanthropy since the beginning on his career, and continually donates to areas in his field.
Education[edit]
Mathis attended Kansas State University from 1983-1984. He then attended the University of Kansas from 1984-1986, going on to the University of Kansas Medical Center (UKMC) from 1986-1989, to achieve a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. From there, he went on to attend Creighton University from 2003-2005, on a Clinical Doctorate track.
Around 2003, during his time at Creighton, he received his Board Certification for a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Approximately 5,000 clinicians have been awarded this certification since 1988, and only approximately 1-10 applicants receive this designation. In regards to this certification, the website for The Hand Therapy Certification Commission notes that, "For the past 10 years, the passing rates have ranged from 52% to 68% with an average pass rate of 59%". In 2006, Mathis was awarded a Clinical Doctorate by the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals.

In 2003, Mathis opened Mathis Physical Therapy. Mathis Physical Therapy has three locations, with two in Manhattan, KS and one in Junction City, Kansas. Mathis Physical Therapy specializes in pelvic floor health, "hands-on" traditional physical therapy, and chronic pain management.
Mathis Rehab centers are owned and managed by Occupational and Physical Therapists.
After , Dr. Mathis sold Mathis Physical Therapy to continue fully pursuing and expanding Katie's Way Plus.
Katie's Way, LLC and KW+[edit]
In 2015, Mathis opened Katie's Way, a center for mental healthcare, specializing in assessment, treatment, and support for a variety of mental, emotional, and substance abuse conditions.
In 2023, Katie's Way opened an additional branch of the company called Katie's Way Plus. The aim of Katie's Way Plus is to modernize mental healthcare to provide world class treatment and resiliency skills, as well as to provide counseling to determine best treatment while immediately giving you the tools you need to be successful while navigating day-to-day life. The motto for Katie's Way Plus is "Revolutionizing Mental Healthcare", which they are achieving by unique ways of treating mental health.
Katie’s Way Mental Health Services was started in 2015 with 2 professional providers. As of late 2023, Katie's Way is anticipated to be operating in 15 centers across the Midwest and Western United States (Alaska, Colorado, Kansas, Texas and Washington), with over 130 team members and 5 patents, making Katie's Way one of the largest private practices in the U.S. within 8 years.
Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS)[edit]
Katie's Way uses a new technology called Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or dTMS. Deep TMS, a non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. This technology targets deep brain structures associated with various mental health conditions. With a success rate of 45–50%, Deep TMS can significantly improve symptoms, offering hope to those who haven’t responded to traditional treatments. It’s safe, well-tolerated, and performed in an outpatient setting, allowing you to return to your daily activities immediately after each session. In addition to dTMS, Katie's Way Plus offers services like Exposure Therapy, and the Remote 24 program, a monitoring program where patients are tracked from anywhere, by the help of a wearable device to monitor and aid from afar.
