Damon Wood's Harmonious Junk[edit]
Formed in 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Damon Wood's Harmonious Junk began as a side project for then James Brown guitarist, Damon Wood. After touring the world with the Godfather of Soul for two years, Wood wanted a band at home to write and arrange for and to keep his chops up for the big shows. After six months in Vegas, Wood moved to Denver, Colorado, and by the next year had reformed the group. Wood's project has continued to tour Colorado and neighboring states with a revolving cast of players. The current lineup features Wood, as well as Jeff Brink on Drums and Vocals and Kirk Kuykendall on Bass.
The band has released 3 albums, Space Cadet (2004), Too Cocky In Nagasaki (2008) and Sirens and Pipers (2013). Wood just released a single called "Badlands Buskers" on Feb. 23, 2024 and is in the process of recording his fourth album. The next single, "I Get Offended" is due for release on March 22, 2024.[1]
